Lost and Looking for Help

We hear you! Sometimes you don't know what to post - it’s one of the most common questions I hear when speaking with potential clients. “We know we need to be online, but we really don’t know what to put out there.”

Creating brand messages that connect with customers doesn't have to be a chore. You want to pass on your passion, get people excited and put them in the post with you. Focus on the following few things and you will see a difference:

  • Good photography (essential for food-related content!)

  • Clear communication

  • Positive messaging.

How to Handle Online Conflict

There are several ways to handle bad actors on your social media pages - responding to them publicly is definitely one option. But, the very best advice for online interactions: Don't get emotional or personal with your customers. And certainly don't insult them.

Fact: Some customers will get online just to blast a business for their bad experience.

Right or wrong. When that happens, it's only natural to want to defend yourself. But, lack of direct contact and an absence of body language is going to go against you if you respond defensively. Try to address the issue simply, directly, and then let it go.

YES it's easier said than done.

NO that doesn't mean the customer gets their way.

YES we all would love to tell people on the internet to go jump.

NO that's not how you "deal with customers" or attract new business.

If you find a customer is getting hostile or posting negative things on your page, take measures to make them happy and resolve their issues. Absolutely. Just do so without leaving a permanent record of your bad choices on Facebook.

Above all, when you need help, get it.
